Gotta part with my 2004 x-type due to job loss 😥, it's got 24,500 original miles on it and been a blast to own, drive, and work on. I just drove it from Seattle to Vegas and back and it was a champ. Here's what I've done to it since I've owned it(purchases it with 15000miles):
-new tires (@16000miles)
-new rotors and pads
-Amsoil Tranny fluid
-Royal purple 75w140 in the transfer case
-new water pump and tensioner
-drive shaft swap from a 2008
Here's the issues I've been troubleshooting but haven't had time to commit to:
-fuel door is missing the latch, it closes but doesn't lock
-abs engages sometimes at low speeds and light comes on but will reset is ignition is cycled. (I think this will be fixed shortly, no promises though)
-rattle from engine bay, I think it's either a loose flex plate or the catalytic needs a citric acid bath.
I live a little north of Seattle, pretty firm on my $8500 price.
