tan 95 xj6 with about 150000 miles. engine compression test done by Drellishak auto, and within specs

NEW within the past 8 months:

- Tie rod ends
- Shocks (with lifetime warranty)
- Tires (with firestone 60,000 warrranty included)
- exhaust mid pipe(includes cat converters build in)
- new gaskets around the exhaust system
- rear and front brakes pads, calipers and rotors
- EGR valve
- spark plugs
- front left ball joint
- both rear and front left wheel bearings

Problems :
- clear coat peeling on hood
- bass of speakers doesnt work (treble does)
- minor oil seepage around oil filter (does not form a puddle)
- steering wheel tilt ( maybe a cable is broken?)
- brake fluid was contaminated at some point. Master cylinder rubber swollen. I will flush the fluid when I have time.
- left rear caliper is actually a right caliper. ive been driving it like this for months. But for optimal results, it shoudl be replaced.

Any rust on the car? How bad is the oil leak? Is the check engine light on?

 

update -

I found out that its not much of a leak. It only seeps oil around the oil filter. It does not drip. It does not form a puddle.

There is minor rust, the size of a penny , roughly, on each of the rear fenders.

 

Theres some engine codes . One of the reasons is a bad O2 sensor. Also, the traction fail light is on (maybe cause of something with the abs system?). ill get the codes to you soon.
