Hi Tom,

My first attempt at help vanished quickly. Contacted a mate on your side of town (Parramatta) but of 2 he was stripping, one has gone and second had suffered front ender and is useless.

Second advice is to try the big 'bay in the sky and especially around the gumtree. Leading up to Xmas, there were a few whole but very sad (and therefore very cheap) XJs. The mate I contacted picked up one of his this way - at a significantly cheaper price than the going rate for a rear suspension, which was all he wanted.

If condition is unimportant - straight, undamaged, but needing all new bushes etc, this could be helpful. Convincing the better half of the merits of the remaining pile of dead car may be a tougher challenge.

thanks for the response, i'm searching for this on behalf of a club member, ebay/gumtree not fruitful so far, just expensive rubbish.......can get one with new gear in it for 1K penrith way, think he'll ponder that one, i usually do business down Caringbah way with Geoff...............
