Default Please help me find an answer or an engine!

I have 1 2003 Jag S Type that I purchased brand new. It got to 108,000 miles and the engine blew!! I kept up with all maintenance and the vehicle is in excellent shape. It is Platinum color with black interior. I would like to purchase a new crate engine and keep this vehicle. Does anyone know where I can find a reputable company that carries the engine I need? Is there anyone who would be interested in this vehicle?? I am trying to decide what I should do! I had a black 2003 S Type also, which I sold 4 yrs ago. Should have kept that one and sold the Platinum one. I really love this car and my intention was to keep it indefinitely. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to the forum foxie,

I've copied your question from New Member Area to S-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Foxie-

The cost of a new crate engine would almost certainly exceed the value of an entire car in good running condition. The labour cost to remove and replace would make the whole venture commercial suicide.

Your best bet, if your existing engine cannot be rebuilt, is to find a good used engine from a scrapyard.

Again- which engine does your car have?
