Just to mention that:

1. there's a separate one for petrols from 2006MY (i.e. from VIN N52048)

2. there's a separate one for diesels up to 2006MY (i.e. to VIN N52047)

3. and at least one petrol for Arduous markets (such as hot parts of the world)

(and possibly others)

None of them include things which I would say are essential. Over here the MoT will catch just about everything that matters and takes 40-60 mins for a trained, experienced tester. And the MoT almost exclusively checks things which are safety- and emissions-related. (But doesn't check disk minimum thickness - go figure.) So, for example, wouldn't check the shifter bolts or coolant leaks or fuel trims or ....
