Been reading for a few days now but this is my first post.

Bought my '00 stype 3.0 in '05 with 50k miles on it and I love it.

Recently, I have come into some small problems.

First, the Jag hood ornament was stolen last weekend and I'm worried that if I buy another, the same thing will just happen again. I noticed that some online places have the 'emblems'. It's a flat disk that takes the place of the ornament on the hood. I understand it's popular in Europe. How do these look? I have a Champaigne color jag and online I see a black n teal one, and a straight silver one. What are your opinions on this?

Second, I'm not a smoker and don't allow smoking in my car, but asthetically, I'd like to restore it's integrity. The ash tray, just below the radeo in the center console is kinda broken. The lighter works just fine but the 'latch' which holds the ash tray lid down, wont hold it down. And since the lid is spring loaded it basically stays up. Any idea what this part is called and/or where I can get a replacement? (not the latch, but the whole ashtray mechanism)

Third, and this is one of the most important to me, I was parked on an incline recently and forgot to put on the parking break. When I tried to get the car back into drive, from park, i pulled too hard and broke the little white plastic piece down in the shifter assembly. I am told that this assembly is a 'unit' and the plastic piece inside it cannot be replaced on it's own. Does anybody know where I can get one of these?

Fourth, the rear view mirror, last summer, kinda messed up. It's the one that is self-tinting and has the compass. Basically it looks like some liquid got in it or that there already was liquid in it and some of it has evaporated. (not in the LCD compass part, but the mirror itself) I have searched online and cannot find an original replacement for this. Any help finding one would be great. Also, after locating this piece, what are your thoughts on installing it myself? (easy, hard....i'm a complete novice)

Lastly, I would like to say that I could/would approach my local Jag dealers here but I do not trust them anymore as the last time I took my car in, as soon as I drove off the lot, there was something wrong with it which happened while the car was in their possession and was very near the part they were working on. I inquired about it but got the cold shoulder. The receipt they gave me had a customer service manager's number on it, which I called, and have never received a return call from my message I left.
