Default 02 s-type has water leaks in overhead and pass front under dash, please help!

My 2002 s-type leaks after it rains. It leaks in 2 areas. It leaks where the overhead light is, it fills up with water and then drips into the shifter, and also the pass side front under the glovebox leaks, the carpet gets soaked. Has anyone ever had this issue before? Anyone know what could be causing the leak? thank you!

If you have a sunroof (I believe you would have one) check for debris in the sunroof assembly - there are 4 drains on each corner of the sunroof assembly - they either get blocked by debris or the drain tube gets blocked with fine debris, get kinked or slip off the nipple on the sunroof drain tube.

Everything mentioned above would cause the leaks you are describing. Unless.... you recently had your windshield replaced - if so, it might have not been sealed right... but that's a long shot - start by checking the sunroof drains for debris.

hey just did a water test and it was the windshield seal. I removed the sun visors so that I could drop the front headliner off, and the leak was coming right through the seal. I can actually see the water coming in when I poured a glass of water right onto the sea, it was leaking right in, and it was not a small leak it was coming in as if there was no seal! So now I need to know does it need to be cauked with windshield glue or does the seal need to be replaced. I have looked all over for a seal and cannot find one for a 2002 s-type. Let me know what you think. Thanks for you help...

Get a glass guy to urethane it. Thats whats there. I would go around the glass first because if that doesnt work youll need to cut the seal and pull the glass. And that doesnt always go well without cracking

That's in effect what Brutal just said - yes.

Quite a few people have successfully used bathroom sealant...
