'03 fuel door

I have a 2003 S-Type with a fuel door that won't latch. Can't find anything on the web. I'm sure the dealer could fix it for $600-700, but I'll try it myself first, with some guidance.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem, first off make sure that the emergency gas door release in the trunk is loose so it's not allways keeping the latch in the open position. Also if you manually pull the latch bar on the car that the door latches to it should lock. Mine wouldn't pop open at first either but after working with it for awhile it may take a couple of pushes of the release button but it pops open.
