Exclamation 03 s type radiator replacement and other codes

New member in illinois
Hello everyone!! My name is Richie and I am new to this board. I have already made a post inquiring about the codes I pulled the other day.

P0301
P1313
P1316
P0128
P1642
P1111

I also know I need to replace my radiator and was wondering if I could do it without having to buy jack stands. I am no mechanic and inherited my jag from my father who had passed away, so I really really want to keep it in his memory but repairs as you all know are expensive. So if I can do it my self I will, with the help of my mechanically inclined neighbor of course! PLEASE help ASAP! My wife and I are expecting in 2 weeks!!!!!!! And it's our only car!!! help!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum, Richie.
I'll assume you have the automatic transmission rather than the somewhat rare manual. So now the bad news: The $120-$150 radiators you see on the web won't work. I've no clue if you have the V-6 or the V-8, but the auto-xmsn radiator for the V-6 will be slightly north of $400.

I've renewed the radiators on 2 S-Types, and although it's been awhile....I don't recall necessarily "needing" Jackstands...though draining it may be a challenge. Certainly stands or ramps would be helpful as you probably need to get to the wiring harness plugs on the fan-pack now that I think of it. Radiator comes out the top, slight interference on the left side between the radiator nipple and a/c lines. But I think you need to pull a few gubbings off the bottom to get it all sorted.

I'm guessing you have a slow leak low, on the back of the right-hand side at the tank-to-tube crimp? Not ideal, of course, but you can probably nurse that one through the pregnancy by keeping a close eye on the coolant level and keeping it topped-up.

Best to put your location in the profile and car details (MY, Engine, etc.) in your signature
