DSC Traction control problem
Can anyone help with a DSC problem, I have a s type 2.5 v6 auto sport (2005)
When i corner on a sharpish bend without using excessive ( 35 mph) speed in dry conditions with good tyres the traction control kicks in, applying abs to the front wheels. If i corner on a long sweeping bend at reasonably high speed with some body roll the traction control applys breaking in good dry conditions. This is what seems to be a very / over sensative system or a fault. I have had cars such as BMW which have to be realy pushed in dry conditions to apply traction control.
Can anyone give me a reason or indecation of where the fault could be in my dsc system.
Thanks

It could be a brewing problem, but I'm not sure how to test without getting a Jag dealer involved. I say this because soon after I got my 05 the DSC system activated while turning left in damp conditions. Right after that the display would say "DSC Fault" on the display. It would display the error sometimes and not other times. I took it to the dealer. They didn't even road test it......The service manager said "Ahh, we know what that is" and they replaced the ABS controller and master cylinder. Problem solved. They said that the two systems are so interconnected that you could have a brake issue that ends up tripping the DSC system before it causes a drivability issue. I say that because the whole time the brakes worked fine, including ABS. Since they fixed it months ago the system has been great. Even allows for some wheel spin (chirp) under hard downshifts without jumping in. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply Jeff, after pulling my hair out a bit over this i contacted a local independant Jag specailest who straight away asked what type of tyres were fitted to the rear of my car, it had had some budget tyres (wanli) fitted to the back when i bought the car, they are almost new buy the look of them but i was advised to swap them over to the front as with the car being rear wheel drive thats where the power goes too. I swapped the wheels front to back and problem solved DSC/Traction control works perfectly infact the whole car feels better (p-zero's on the back)
So it just shows how important correct tyres are on these cars.
Thanks again
