Default '03 Stype - dead battery/won't change into neutral with charge/help!!

Hey guys, hoping someone here can help me b/c as of now I'm in bad shape..

Long story short, car has been sitting in my moms garage for over 18 months with few starts, tried to turn the key and battery was dead.

Charged it for 45 minutes, turned the key and the headlights start flashing and the car makes a weird beeps and and I get a slew of alerts/faults

So I try to take the battery out, but that stupid long screw that holds the battery in the trunk is so rusted I cannot for the life of me get it out.

I need the car OUT of the garage because the house is being sold and the floor of the garage needs to be redone, but even under a charge the car 1) refuses to start up and 2) I can switch it to neutral but it will not move when it's pushed...

I know theres something about some transmition reset button but after removing the console near the shifter I still cannot find it and am just very very lost and hoping someone has a clue what I'm rambling about

I really dont want to get this towed if I don't have to... any ideas?

The electronic parking brake is engaged. You are probably going to have to get a new battery to get the car to function properly.

Any ideas how to get that rusted screw out? I've wire brushed it and WD-40'd it a couple of times now, and I've been using a combination of vice grip/wrench/etc to get torque on it, but spent a lot of time and got no where.

Anyone else have issues with that stupid long bolt that holds the battery getting rusted and becoming a problem?

Also, when I turn the car on during the jumping, I can toggle the electric break on and off, and then move the car in neutral... but it still will not move forward or backward, the back tires are locked up regardless

(just to clarify incase that matters)

the brakes could be seized on the rear wheels, if i leave a car parked for any length of time a dont put the parking break on.

give the bat a good long charge or replace it

deadjag, you really should go and introduce yourself in the "New Member Area" per forum protocol. There are many benefits to being a full member here, and without the introduction you are missing out.

DeadJag, let's try leaving the battery in the car and trickle charge or set charger at 2 amp/hr rate for an entire day. The battery may be fine but severely drained. Be patient fella.

45mins is next to no charge at all.

A battery that's been flat for a while simply may not charge. The current flows but is not retained.
