05str 136km 8500 is it worth it
needs to rear tires and nothing has been replaced in last few years just regular maintance
black on tan with nav
my 03 has 182000km and runs good with excessive workdone

 

originally was asking 18500 but that was crazy
they offered him 7500 on trade
just concerned about maintenance as my 03 is killer at times

 

Depends on the condition. If it's not beat up and is in great condition , then I think it's worth it. Probably worth a lot more than that actually. Look at ebay, s type r's don't go cheap.

 

$8500 for an 05 ??! hell yah its worth it , but I doubt that, that STR is in normal condition, a good condition 05 will usually be around $15k-20K after taxes and everything, good luck though, and post some pictures if you can !

where in canada are you located?

no surprise the dealer offered him 7.5k on trade, wholesale the STR's do not fetch much at all; some dealers wont even be interested in taking it on trade,

05's bottom out around 9k in poor shape, and in good shape with okay mileage, 12-14k for one is reasonable.

but of course, look over the car thoroughly, one or two issues with the car suddenly crater's the price regardless. for instance, if the transmission is on the way out, better factor in the $5k job there...

 

Yeah my 05 was around 11k with 97k miles. Car was immaculate though.
