Default 06 s type jaguar 4.2 v8

I'm trying to replace my thermostat with the housing and for some reason all the ones I find have an extra hole on the bottom that's not on the one in my car. Am I missing something?

Welcome. You need this: Jaguar S-TYPE X206 Thermostat Housing AJ89469

Parts for Jaguars are broken down by chassis number, not model year. This causes lots of issues with the search function on many American parts houses' inventory systems. Always get the Jaguar part number and then go a-hunting on the interweb. A free copy of the SNG Barratt's parts catalogue is available in the "stickies" section located at the top of the forum page. You can also use sngbarratt.com.

When you find time, please go to the New Members forum and complete the expected "introduction"; this will help you obtain more privileges on the site. It can be found here:

Just another question, who would you recommend for parts? There's a bunch of websites and none of them sound familiar so I don't know whether to trust them or not

Second this. I’ve gotten many a part and in fact they’ve helped me get the correct part number on the phone as sometimes the part number the dealer gives me is wrong.
