06 S Type R O2 sensor Fuel trims and sensor volt and amps with P0420/P0430 codes
I replace my head pipes off my exhaust manifold and Taylor converters because of a crappy weld job than before I got the car. I replace them with a set of pacesetter EPA compliant Cadillac converters for rock auto part numbers 325477 and 325478. Ever since I install them I’ve been getting a intermittent recurring cat efficiency code P0420 and PO 430 great fix a bunch of vacuum leaks using my smoke tester and I’ve got most if not all of what I can see taken care of, but I’m still getting the intermittent codes for cat efficiency . I took some videos of some live monitoring data using SDD and when I compare thee censor to output to the Jag technical manual, it shows I have 40 cats. What do you think?
interesting to note is that the label that was on the pipes and cat converters when I receive them from Rock Auto had pacesetter part numbers and UPC codes stuck on the label. That label was stuck on top of another label with the part number from a company called DEC or diversified environmental catalyst. . Both UPC codes were identical, so I’m going to guess that these pacesetters are made by DEC
you put 48 state converters in the car and now it still has a 420 430
answered your own question
apparently not. Not yet at least. Bc I dont know what the ramifications are with using “48 state converters” are.
Now ill google search your cryptic message to try and figure out the point is you were hinting at.
why can responses just say what they need to say? I have no idea what 48 state converters have to do with setting cat efficiency codes. If 48 state converters are the incorrect piece and will always throw codes just say it! I thought theyd work bc obviously i have no idea what they are apparently.
Hopefully google will fill in the missing details.
I believe what Xalty is referring to is that unlike larger manufacturers who make a 48 state compliant model and a special model for the loftier emissions requirements of the PDRK (People's Democratic Republic of Kalifornia), Jaguar produced all their S-types being built to that standard. Look under the hood (or bonnet) and you will see an information sticker proclaiming this compliance. My S-type, originally sold in Savannah, GA, bears this...
A merely EPA compliant catalyst may not be effective enough to make your Jaguar's engine management system happy.

ahhhhh, that makes sense. Well the part was guaranteed to work so if I was mislead maybe theyll warranty it for me. Their website says it should work as long as my california car isn’t registered in CA and I live in AR
