I have a constant no 5 and random misfire codes. Ive narrowed it down to low fuel pressure. Ive been running my tank low a lot and im at 230000miles so i want to change the pump but its only sold in the housing and cost a lim and a child. I want to jusy swap the unit but i dont know if it can be opened and the pump itself replaced. Anyone know about the 06 - 08 pumps? Are they used on a another vehicle? XR852870.

 

You have changed the fuel filter? 230,000 is a lot a miles.

 

No but dumped it out and blew air right through although now i have the gas smell. And it's a random misfire i get all the 300 codes.

06 07 08 have a different pump.
