Default 03 x-type water pump parts question - pump with housing or just the pump?

So the water pump replacement issue is very well documented and I thank you guys for that!

I'm dealing with an 03 x-type 2.5 with 62k on the odo. There is a coolant leak coming from the water pump neighborhood. I haven't had a chance to get in there yet, but I'll update when I do.

My question is regarding the parts. I have been quoted for 2 different parts, one is just the water pump for about $100 and the other is for the pump with the housing. Which one do you guys think I'll need, and how will I be able to determine that once I crack it open?

Thanks guys, don't know what I'd do without you!

Just the pump and gasket and you'll be on your way!

Great! Would you recommend doing the thermostat at the same time?

It wouldn't hurt anything to replace it. Replacing the T-stat will require you getting underneith the car. If the car did not overheat, that repair isn't neccesary.
