My 2002 S-Type 3.0 L was throwing a 101 code and had a miss or buck at idle and when under a load . I fixed the leak in the vacuum system,, had a big hole in a vacuum elbow on the back side of the motor. I replaced the elbow with a new one,,but it still is missing at idle.. How long does it take for the MAF computer to resync??? I have put about 25 miles on the car since repairing it and it still is missing. Any suggestions??? I cleared the code with my OBD reader....what else would cause the idle missing????? thanks ron

 

where is the lower elbow located??? I didnt see it. It I had bad coils,, wouldnt it throw an OBD code for that cylinder??? thanks ron

 

Think I have it fixed,,, the code that was in OBDII memory was a 0101 and it had turned on the MIL,,I reset the code and also reset theFreeze Frame data. Then I disconnected the battery for about an hour to let the ECU memory clear itself,, whatever I did (right or wrong) fixed the problem,, it no longer misses at idle and runs better than it did before all this started.... thanks for the help... ron
