Default 160 F. Thermostat?

I had a VERY interesting conversation with Joe Stiegemeier from Stiegemeier Porting Services. I have purchased a used M112 super charger to send off for rework. Joe mentioned that he really recommends a 160 F. thermostat on all the cars that run his blower. I have found some mention of the Eurotoys thermostat but nobody on the forum seems to be running a lower temperature thermostat? I will be posting more on this upgrade. The most interesting part is no pulley changes!!! Joe changes the internal gearing of the Eaton M112 and leaves everything external stock. This is the first time I have heard of this?? He also recommended getting the "Snake Bite Services" package and nothing else. This is advertized on his web site but does NOT mention Jaguar.

I have had some negative experiences with a 170 something (iirc) thermostat on a STR. The ECU checks the time it takes until the coolant reaches operating temperature (takes of course also outside temp into consideration), and it triggered an engine code as it took too long with this thermostat on some occasions (according to the ECU, we were fine with it ;-). So we put the original back in.

Looking forward to your results, as so far I have not seen any before and after dynos for porting the Eaton on jaguars.
