Default 2.5L V6 Misfire at 3000rpm

Hi everybody !!

First, i'm sorry for my very bad english, i'm french...

I'm stuck with an S-Type 2.5L V6 of 2003 :

After an engine change (used but very good aspect), i've a little (big) problem...

- When I accelerate, all is well until 3000rpm, but after 3000 rpm, i've misfire on the cylinder 2, 4 and 6 with the DTC P0300, P0302, P0304, P0306 and necessarily P1314.

The engine switches to restricted performance and after a few seconds in neutral, any errors, no misfire...

I've changed the ignition coil, spark plug, and no result...

With the IDS SDD, I can not seem to communicate with the ECM... i've error [Err 0xC]

Anybody have an idea ? i'm very... blocked...

Thanks to all !!!

Those DTCs are from the PCM (which Jaguar call ECM) so something must be communicating!!

Might be a bad cat. conv. -- try an IR gun to check temperature drop across the cat(s) and/or remove O2 sensor(s) and look with a borescope.

Odd. Not the PCM (ECM) to blame, then.

We don't know much about the 2.5L because it was never sold in the US.
Have you looked at the UK forum?

It's essentially a (USA 2003-on) 3.0, with a tweak to 2.5.
