I was parked on an upward slope, and could not get the shifter out of park. I tried wiggling it a few times but was in a rush and forced it.. I felt a small snap and now the shifter moved freely through all gears but remains in park..
I think it is that white plastic piece that many have replaced with the steal upgrade..
I'm wondering what that piece is called? And if there is a seller within Canada?

So you won't have the problem again make sure to put your foot on the brake then use the parking brake before you turn off the ignition. That way the car's weight isn't resting on the trans parts.
