2000 s-type nav update

Is there an update to the disk, and an instruction manual for the nav system? I drove to Seattle, and ran out of map in Oregon. How do I extend the navigation beyond the disk that is inserted?

The handbook for your nav system is no longer available to us online. Dealer may be able to order it, or check ebay.

You can definitely check on ebay for the instructions and the updated disk.
