Default 2001 S Type 4.0 Heater Half Working

Hi everyone,

The driver's side heater seems to work fine but the passenger side is getting just a fan blowing. I've tried adjusting the dual control up (85 HI) and down and all over the place. Some say I need a new heater valve, some say there is blockage somewhere internally, some say I need a new temperature sensor and some say I need a new control panel unit. From your experience, does one of these make more sense than another? THANKS

It's the DCCV valve. I had this happen in my 2002 S-Type and replaced that and it was fine again.
Try replacing that first as it is pretty inexpensive. It's the same part as the Lincoln LS model which may be cheaper.

Is this the correct piece and, if so, are there 1 or 2 of them inside? Thanks again!
