Default 2001 s-type head light bulb replacement

I am trying to replace the head light bulb and can not get my hand into the area to get the bulb out. it talks about removing the spring clip to release the bulb but again i cant get my hand in the area to release it. Do i have to take the head light assembly out to get to these items? if not any suggestions of how to get to the bulb.

If you have any questions about the site, don't hesitate to ask a mod, super mod or Jim the Admin.

Have fun and be sure to look at the "FAQ" at the top of the S Type Section.

This thread is actually in the S Type Directory.

When you first sign in to jaguarforums, you have the homepage, it consists of a banner ad at the top, followed by random members pictures, then all the sub directories to the forum below that:

Keep scrolling down until you see the blue "S Type/S type R supercharged V8"
Click on that link...poof you are now in the S Type specific area.

Let me know if you still have problems

you should be able to change the bulbs without taking the bumper off, have you tried a mirror and long nose pliers, when i can't get my ham fists in a tight space i rope the wifes skinny hands in

Thanks everyone for your help. the job is done. i carried it over to pep boys and one of the guys at the counter came out and removed it without a problem. i guess he had small hands. it took him a bit longer to get the new one in but bingo he did it and charged me nothing. of course i bought new bulbs from them rather than using the ones i had already purchased from their competitor.
