Sheeet I'm jealous... an LS2 swap has been my dream since I bought the car.. Unfortunately there is no such conversion kit, your going full custom... I personally would just do it right the first time and get an LS2 and a six-speed out of a vette or GTO... Your idea is excellent though.. Where are you located?? If I can be of any help finding parts I would love to see how this turns out... Eric

That is correct whiteSTR.... its a full custom job.
All you need is motor mounts, all the wiring is in the Caprice.

while I have done some serious conversions in the past....I can tell you the hardest part of the electrical side is mounting the ecm and getting your gauges to work properly. that and making sure the fuel pump will function. most of the snags I've run into in the past took mostly a lot of thought and ingenuity. just be forewarned that having multi BCM's in the car may give you headaches. quick fix for the gauges is to make your own cluster. the s-type cluster is rather flat and with some 1 way tinted plexi you could in theory make a pretty cool custom electronic cluster. not fun to do...but very plausible. should be preety crazy though.

Like Eric and Jason wrote, full custom. I too have done a few conversions in my day, never from different manufacturers though. My 77 911 has a engine and 6 speed from a 97 911 in it. I went full custom wiring harness with it so I was able to make things work mainly by pre-planning.

I can imagine a talented fabricator or even an experienced machinist could assist you with the motor mounts/trans mounts. You may have to do some interior tunnel modifications for the shifter though?

I finally found the site I was looking for! lol these guys build some badass Jags and this is right up your alley.. I still say def go with an LS1 or LS2 and dump that LT1 you have... I have never liked those motors..

And, Andrew is a really nice guy. Very knowledgeable. I've dealt with him for over 10 years. We don't do a whole lot, cause he's really into this custom stuff.
