Default 2002 S Type 3.0 Nav System

Hello My Fellow Members,

I have a 2002 S Type that is asking for a CD for the map. I reached out to the dealer and they are telling me that the system needs to be updated and it will run me about $199. Does it normally cost this much to update the system? Is there anyway around this price? If someone would please let me know or if you know of any resources that I can be able to use in getting a CD that would be great.

The CD has not been updated for many years so I'd forget it and just get a modern sat nav / use a smartphone. Cheaper and better.

Take a look on E-Bay - if you do have the same CD based system as on the 2007 S-Type you can move up to a 2012 disk if I remember.

The later one is DVD. His is CD. Utterly incompatible. Cannot upgrade at all.
