Default 2002 S-Type 4.0 will not start sporadically

Has anybody had the experience of car starts fine and then you drive it, shut it off and then will not start. I play with the gear shift or key, brake or gas pedal and then it would start. Now it will not start at all. It has new battery and starter. Seems it is a sensor, ignition switch or the ecm. Also do you know of
good jaguar tech near the southwest suburbs in chicago.

Thank You

Maybe the gear shift is a clue to a stretched shifter cable - fairly common as the cars age.
