Default 2003 jag type s 4.2 Jag purchased yesterday

The Jag runs fine in drive. When the car is in park with motor running it shuts down after about 5 minutes of idling.

A vacuum leak will usually set a lean code, P0171, P0174, or both. Is the MIL illuminated? If so, has there been a scan for codes (a free service at many places)?

Except if it stalls it may not have a chance to set a lean code.

(Expect P1582 but you need OE tool to decode.)
