1. I've been having a problem with the auto wiper setting not doing anything (never comes on when it is raining) for a long time now. Any ideas what causes this?

2. Recently my headlights when on the auto setting don't shut off sometimes. It will be the middle of a sunny day after being parked outside in the sun and they turn on until I shut them off manually, other times they appear to work just fine.

 

1. Might sound silly but you do have the stalk in the correct position don't you?

2. Is there anything on the dash obscuring the sensor?

 

1. I'm about 99% sure I did, I know I've tried different things with no luck.

2. Nothing on the dash, I've tried wiping the sensor off with no change.
