I have trouble reading my trip computer/odometer display both in daylight and at night. It looks as if it might have had some moisture in the display since there is a watermark showing. Can this be removed and cleaned? Replace bulbs? How does it come out?

Do you have a picture of what the display looks like?

Could be as simple as adjusting the dimmer switch up all the way. Or it could be more serious...

 

It isn't the dimmer and the display lights up and changes intensity with the dimmer - it is just very hard to distinguish the information. In the day time I have to get right up to it to read the information. Night is not much better. Maybe brighter bulbs?

 

Not to be a smartass, but you're certain you don't need glasses, right?

 

Does it look faded? Try lightly pushing on the face where the mileage readout is and see if it intensifies. The LCD strip might not have enough pressure applied to it anymore.
