Default 2003 s type stalling with no codes

I recently purchased a 2003 Jaguar S-Type V8 sport during the last couple weeks of owning it it's been stalling while driving stopping at lights stopping at stop signs sometimes it'll drive for 2-3 km other times at all go 30 feet and stall the dealership I purchased it from is clueless and their warranty I think is going to start getting a little thin if they keep replacing pieces in that I don't think they're actually doing any work really but I need to know I guess diagnosis I've gone on to a few of the Jaguar forums and they have told me that it could be the fuel pump could be vacuum lines could be sensor when it stalls at bucks it's misfiring like crazy when it does this then it stalls out we change the fuel filter on it recently and it seems to be doing better but it's still stalling will start immediately though and I can still drive it away I'm wondering if it was just bad gas and things are going to get better or if it is a fuel pump issue or something else it's not throwing any codes whatsoever.

Thank for your time

It will have logged P1582 (flight recorder data).

But you can work through the many causes. There's even a TSB somewhere about them with flowchart.

An air leak would be one possibility - look at fuel trims.

Hope you got it solved but if not i might be worth replacing the crank position sensor. All symptoms are classic for a bad CPS.
My V8 had issues with ignition and fuel delivery and no error codes. A 40 dollar sensors fixed it all, easy to replace too.

I was having similar problems with my 2000 4.0 and it turned out to be the fuel pump. I've got a great Jag specialist mechanic and it took him forever to figure this out.

2004 Jag S-Type V8...engine mount failure...causes A/C clutch to rest on subframe restricting movement...engine starts with starter engaged but once starter disengages engine shuts down...test: remove nut securing left engine mount to subframe...position scissor jack at left front corner of oil pan at block...raise engine 1 inch...start car...ta da...engine stays running...replace engine mounts...

Robert: You have resurrected an old thread, but your response (assuming that is IS a response) does not appear to have anything to do with the issue/content that took place prior to your post. Is there a reason for this...?

Inquiring minds want to know...
