Default 2003 STR with Lambo Doors

I have seen a few people ask about these and I am not a fan but this is the first time I have seen an S Type with them?

I don't think he will get that price??

If that is as far as the door opens, how would you get out? Looks like you would have to limbo under it.

Wonder if the rears are done the same way.

I will never understand why people do ridiculous stuff like this, especially to a Jaguar. I guess I am a purist.

I've always wanted to do a poll on the percentage of people who do modifications like this to nice luxury cars, but then decided later on it was a stupid idea. I bet the number would be high.

I don't think he will get that price either but it is a nice looking, low miles car.

That makes me sick. And from New York to boot. If there was an S-Type interpole agency, this guy would be a fugitive. God have mercy upon his soul. Lost my appetite for my wifes Easter lasagna, @&*t. LOL! Just kidding, but really.

When those kits first came out I helped a friend put them on his car. It was a weld on kit (supposedly superior to a bolt on), and it never lined up or worked correctly. It was all around a huge PITA

Seen it on eBay for months now, it's not going anywhere at that price, he's basically wrecked the car, time to write off one's losses and post it up for less than half of what he is asking, Talk about ruining a perfectly good STR...

The duo-tone paintjob is fairly nice, actually!

I recall seeing pictures of a similarly modded S-Type once. It had front and rear lambo doors, and the trunk lid opened by lifting vertically without tilting at all. No idea on how that was achieved...

In context, thus, not good enough to be desirable but far better than you'd expect of a custom paint job on a lambo-door Jaguar the dark grey paint should continue as low down at the front and rear as it does on the side. The top of it, on the sides, compliments the shape of the car.

Not sure if I would call that 'thinking outside the box', seems like ugly chrome wheels, a two-tone paint job and lambo doors are some of the most common elements you will find on every 'ghetto cruiser' S-type build,

Heck, if you search S-Type on eBay under parts and accessories, most common listing you will find is for lambo door kits, suggesting to me it's one popular mod out there for S-cars and pretty far from original....

This coming from the guy with arguably the 'cleanest' modded STR on the boards, means it's pretty conclusive, this STR is two thumbs down.
