Don't get me wrong
Quote: Not sure if I would call that 'thinking outside the box', seems like ugly chrome wheels, a two-tone paint job and lambo doors are some of the most common elements you will find on every 'ghetto cruiser' S-type build,

Heck, if you search S-Type on eBay under parts and accessories, most common listing you will find is for lambo door kits, suggesting to me it's one popular mod out there for S-cars and pretty far from original....
Like I said, It's not something I like or would ever do. I just like the fact that he doesn't care what people think he has his idea of what he wants his car to look like and did it. I seem to get a lot of BS from people on this forum for making radical changes to my S-type. I just want to see more people modding Jags because they have so much potential and the more people that mod them the more likely manufactures will create parts for us.

This is more my style:

Look, the stanced out examples you just posted are cool in kind of a cartoony, almost photoshopped, post up on the shop's calender kind of way,
but they completely forsake function in the name of form. They're cool to look at, but not much else.
Yea, you can park-it-like-its-hot at the local meets, set the blogs and instagram on fire and get the sideways ball-cap-wearing crowds cheering, but if its completely impractical to drive the novelty wears off quick.

For me, the car has to perform and look good from all angles. Majority of these stanced and cambered out cars look cool from the side and quarter angle shots, but from the rear dead on, as in when you're being followed in traffic, the car looks plain stupid. The rear stance should be square, wide and muscular looking; not looking like a flattened jalopy rolling down the road.

Case in point, compare how this looks, like doc browns delorean struggling to get into flight mode,

To the aggressiveness of this:

Beauty is always subjectional. I like how my car sits now (except for the rubbing), and I have had people tell me I should go lower. I am like, "uh no, I like being able to drive it around without bottoming out on everything".

I am on H&R springs and last time I measured I had roughly 5.5" of ground clearance to the lowest point. I do wish I could dial in a bit more negative camber in the back to be able to tuck the rear wheels better.

It could always be worse, the Japanese have Oni Camber

There's only one car that I like with Lambo doors............................A Lambo!!! Anything else is a Tragedy. I agree with the others as well on the lowered look, I love a slammed car, but if its inoperable, then whats the point??? Hell, I dont even like classic or car show cars that never see the street. Cars are meant to be driven and I'm sure as hell not gonna dump thousands into a project just to have it sit in my garage or at some show twice a year.

Is the guy having a hard time selling that ebay car? If it's so lovely it should sell for loads of money and instantly.

Think long and hard before climbing into any of those ridiculous-looking cars pictured above. As soon as you do, your brain automatically loses 50 IQ points....

See, the reason some of the "extreme modders" get flamed on this forum...

Correct---

Just simply WRONG ---

Sorry, but this "crowd" does not take kindly to silly trends...

I personally have never taken kindly to silly trends.. and trust me, when I was a kid in the 80's, my buddies did some stupid crap to their cars in an effort to be cool. Wasn't then, isn't now...

Again, sorry if you don't like the feedback... don't preach in the wrong church, so to speak.

Its drek like this that cheapens and ghetto-izes the S type into a pimp ride, and not an automobile of class.

The dips#@t doesn't even have the class to peel the stickers off the tires.

Here's the really sucky part, either all decent S Type owners and myself are now lumped into the same group as dips$%t, or dips@&t is now tainting the group of decent S Type owners. Either scenario is bad.

Welcome to my world.....

A ton of these out there as well...

But then there are some that tweak the 300 to make it look and perform better...

Yes, I know. The Aventador still has tilt up doors, the Gallardo has the conventional doors.

Still a funny picture with the real Lambo in the background and the tuner Civic....

For it to work well with a car the door's shape must be correct where it hinges.
This looks like a giant piece of toast floating in the air while up.

The entire door opening and sealing has to be designed from the beginning to do this. It probably seals like crap and is dangerous to boot in a collision.

Best left for idiots, Darwinian principles at work ...
