Hi everyone, the key fob for my 04 jaguar s type r recently stopped working and I replaced the battery myself but after doing so it does not work with the new battery, it is the same battery just a different brand. I have looked at countless youtube videos on how to reprogram the key but nothing has been working, has anyone else encountered this problem and solved it? If so please let me know i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

 

the s type can only be programed via OBD2 with a dealer grade tool.
possibly the battery is a dud ?
or may be you accidentally changed the frequency . IIRC you press and hold both lock and unlock and press the red headlight button to switch MHZ.

other wise you need two fobs and a visit to the dealer or get a mobile lock smith to visit you with his programing tool .
