So I'm a truck driver and sometimes don't make it home for a couple of months. On my last trip home, the EPB fault was on the dash and I tried the 12v jumper and disconnecting the module, but wasn't getting any results. I have AAA so got the car towed to my local mechanic. He was able to get the brakes released and advised that it was either in the switch or the module. I was also receiving a cruise control error, so this suggested module.

I went on eBay found a matching part and $50 no more errors.
