thats why I took the opportunity while passing Bruntingthorpe proving ground to check that all was OK I would never consider travelling at such speeds on the public highway

 

LOL! stypernut, your crazy man! I'd do the same friggin thing...0-160 mph. I'm not advocating for this kind of speed but please check those tyres before ever attempting 160 mph again, I hope you don't! By the way, flipping from "D" (drive) to 5th by-passes the speed limiter and she'll do nearly 180 mph (watched this dude on YouTube do this in a totally stock STR in the UK).

Tyres seem OK Will try the D to 5th sometime (tomorrow) and let you know how we get on!! Hi Flow cats give a lot more mid range grunt ( I thinK!! ) being a couple of months with the performance being so cr*p. Still cant get over the fact it was the cats as all seemed OK. £425 a pair fitted by the way Money well spent me thinks

 

Found the youtube vid and guess where it was filmed Yes Bruntinthorpe I know coz got thrown off once for making to much noise on a nitrous Vmax ( 186 mph and no fairing!!) Now thats hairy Also ran a best of 9.33 @ 157 MPH at Santa Pod
