Default 2006 Jaguar S-Type 3.0L V6 vacuum hose

I need help identifying this hose I accidentally bent when taking off the intake manifold. It has a quick connect under the throttle body. It looks like I might be able to replace just the short elbow portion. Thanks

Arrow to bend in the elbow of vacuum hose that quick connects to bottom of throttle body

Welcome to the forum, Dave. Before anyone else asks, perhaps you can include how many miles your car's done. I am sure several members can assist with your query. Thank you.

Can't help with the exact hose, but try poking around here:

Do you know in which system that hose is installed? If you knew, it would make searching a bit easier. Any numbers on it? Maybe there's a number on the valve to which it is connected?

If you can find a Jaguar number, you don't necessarily have to purchase through the official Jaguar website. Search online with the part number and you may find it available from other vendors. Check eBay, too. Often times, dealers will clean out big lots of old stock to third parties, who then sell the individual pieces.

If you can't find a replacement, have you considered repairing the existing line? It looks like you could carefully cut each end away from the barbed connections, and replace it with a length of flexible hose and a pair of hose clamps. Just make sure the hose is suitable for underhood use.

Hi Karl,
I found the part number for that vacuum purge hose (XR842229) but I was hoping to replace only the distal elbow that was bent. The part seems to be hard to find at this time. I was thinking about a workaround to repair the hose. Maybe a stent or something. The hose seems to be detachable and moves around easily. I do have some other misfiring errors I’m dealing with but nothing that seems to be connected with any pressure or vacuum problems. I’m out traveling down south so when I get back, I’ll put everything back together with new NKG coils and see what’s up
Thanks for your help,
Dave
