Default 2006 s-type salvage title on ebay

Have any forum members seen the black 2006 s-type for sale with a salvage title because of an interior fire on ebay? Seller says the fire was in the console and headliner. Says they replaced with a "satin" interior from an '08 (whatever that means). Should I go for this or run like a scalded dog? Car looks good and probably be priced way below retail. Also, there's another 2000, 4.0 from Illinois on e-bay, beige, only 27000 miles...buy it now $8950...do you guys think this looks like a good deal? Thanks for all your help. I'm out here languishing trying to find the right car and you guys sure know more than I do!

I'd do the scalded cat thing from the one that was on fire, 8.9K seems a lot for a 2000 ok the miles are low, but you can get a good 03 + for similar money.

Fire and cats don't mix well .

Cough up a few more grand and contact fellow member phd12volt, he has an '03 STR in very well maintained shape for sale.

WOW!!! If you are looking at $8,500 cars, making a $2,000 jump and getting Jason's STR is a no brainer!

Jump on that before he trades it! But also promise to take care of it....

When he says he wants it to go to a good home, he's not just talking....

Does anybody know if Jeff's car is still for sale? Also, I have a friend who runs a race shop near my place in Elkhart Lake. I'm sure he can put brakes in it reasonably. Anybody know how much the parts would cost for those Brembo brakes?

MikeyMac, Jason with the '03 STR for sale is out of town but will be back Friday.

Hold tight until you here from him!

Many members here have seen the vehicle in person and have met Jason, the car is pampered!

LOL, My car isn't for sale... That would be Jason.

Search on here for brake prices.

As Rick said, many have seen that car in person. I'm one of them. Went for a ride in it as well and she drives awesome. A really clean sorted car for a super bargain..
