Default 2007 S-type 3.0

I love my car, but I have had a few issues come up recently. The first is the EPB (Emergency Park Brake) fault coming on in extreme cold weather. On extreme cold days, the EPB fault light comes on and the car can't be moved. Thank goodness for AAA membership, so I can have the car towed to my mechanic. My mechanic is looking at that issue as I type. And, NO, I didn't take it to a Jaguar dealership. I'm not going to have a new a*****e ripped open with price from the dealership. I have a wonderful mechanic who is phenomenal with service and price. Those mechanics are so few and very very far between.

The second issue which doesn't affect the driving of the vehicle, is the "gurgling" noise that comes from the climate control (vent) area after the climate control is turned off. It makes a "gurgling" and "crackling" noise when turned off. I'm going to fax my mechanic the possibilities that I've found on Jaguar Forums website. Being that he is not a Jaguar mechanic specifically, it may help him to diagnose the issue.

If ANYONE reading my post has had either of these two issues and they're now resolved, please post what your mechanic found to be the problems, remedies and prices you paid, if you care to volunteer those numbers.

I appreciate any feedback at all.

EPB stuck on is a sure sign of a battery about to fail. See link: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...e-stuck-32699/

Gurgling is ok, it won't hurt anything. It can be solved, see post 5 I believe: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...hut-off-32878/

Regarding the gurgling:

I had the same problem and it was the servo motors as noted. I got it fixed under warranty. But, two years after the repair was done, it started gurgling again. So, I learned to live it the noise.

I have a 2007 s type too and the park brake issue is a battery issue-- you need a new one. I had the exact same problem. Easy fix

I have posted this before but this should fix it.

Turns out the parts are not very expensive. Maybe $40-$60 for each actuator and there are 4. The factory shop time is only .8 hour which seems hard to believe. But people have paid great amounts of money to fix them.

I had some noise like a light tapping of foam from the recirculation actuator. It's in the passenger side front foot well. But the replacement was made wrong and I had to send it back to Jag. Put the old one back in and it's been silent ever since. No idea why?
