I bought a 2008 3.0 S Satin Edition two, years ago, it had 33,000 miles on it and now has 50,000 miles.

I has been a wonderful car. Exterior is Radiance with Champagne interior. Smooth, fast, quiet except for a nice engine sound, comfortable and handles well. My wife loves the car. On a 1,000 mile road trip to Wyoming it proved to be a good long distance driver. The factory audio was replaced with a Pioneer Apple Play unit, an amp and upgraded speakers.

The overflow tank had to be replaced and a clunk in the rear end was silenced. A Jag specialist services the car and I have a savings account dedicated to the car if needed. The only other issue was a parking lot dent some idiot gifted me.

It is my third Jag - my first car was a Mark II 3.8 Saloon and from 1980 to 1984 my wife and I leased an S Type 3.0 which was trouble free.

I thought to share my good experiences given that most S Type post are about problems.
