Default 2008 S-type belly pan

I have a 2008 S Type with just a bit over 55,000 miles. It has a belly pan. The car is only driven on paved city street around our neighborhood with a 10-25 trip occasionally
I usually change my own oil and fluids on a regular basis. I'm 80 years and removing and installing the pan on the floor is pain in the ........
Would it be reasonable to run without it?

Just curious.

I am curious, what the others will reply, but I don't see an issue with it.

I have an 06 and know your pain. I run mine with pan off and no problems. I zip tie thru the holes on the radiator cover to keep it steady

For an easy method to remove the belly pan, I’ve simply driven over a number of speed bumps. Works like a charm! Just not so much if you ever want to reinstall the remains…

what are you accessing? can you just attack it with a holesaw where you need access? I've found most plastic understrays end up in a million bits in a very short time in australia. Modern cars simply sit for to low for our roads.

I wouldn't be concerned for even 1 second about removing an understray (unless maybe it was an air cooled car that heavily relied on air flow through specific areas).

Yeah, rip it off, if you don’t have any oil leaks and don’t mind your engine getting dirty.

Thanks for the replies. I'm driving on paved street around our small town. Next time I do an oil change I'll leave it off.

That's been reported before that the dealer left the under body covers off. Along with all the missing hardware/fasteners!
