Hi, I was doing some searching but i couldnt find anything related to my issue im not sure if i missed it. Sorry if i did.

I have an issue with my 2000 S-Type V6 Automatic, when trying to accelerate it has a hard time going to gear 2 or when it does it kicks it back to 1. I recently had the fuel pump changed and there is no visual leaks. Anyone knows what is wrong with it? Would it be possible that it needs a transmission oil change?

Possible but not the 1st thing I'd go for. Far more likely an air leak. Lots of threads about them so do some reading

Easy way to check is OBD but see the threads
