I hear what you say, but i am on the slim side as 2 hours at the gym -6 days a week keeps me that way. I really would not trust an untrained person to play in that area. I am hard pressed to trust any repair people as it is. just my view being weird as I had to deal with the worst jag dealer in the country with absolutely no QC- even though they get some of the highest ratings.

Thanks Scott

Default Solved AC Issue

Thanks to kr98664 (Karl) the problem is isolated to 1 problem.. The one that is germane was the evap Temp sensor. It does just pull straight out..Replaced and my ac vents blow 40-41 F degrees. The other was a bad thermometer that was showing temps, be it in the car or the house that were 16-19 degrees higher. A new one solved the issue..

Thanks All

I might be headed down your path for my car. I did the compressor valve flip and do not like it. I got a brand new valve too. I might go back factory and see what happens. Great job by the way

Can you please elaborate on what you don't like? I'd like to add details to the troubleshooting guide. Do you get hot/cool fluctuations from the vents or something like that? Rapid cycling of the compressor clutch, especially in cooler weather? The original design was self-regulating to some extent, and helped the climate control put out a fairly steady temperature.
