I have a 2007 S-Type 3.0.

Thinking of purchasing the R Performance Exhaust System that is an optional vehicle accessory for this model year / V6 engine.

Are there any S-Type owners who have purchased this accessory for their 3.0's?

Besides offering a more throaty engine note, what kind of performance gain is there?

2007 Jaguar S-Type 3.0 (Golden Cat)

 

R U sure there is a Jag exhaust option? Perhaps an aftermarket option? I had a 2002 Jag X-Type 3.0...modded the exhaust a zillion times till getting it right. Be careful here...when screwing around with the exhaust you can lose low end torque and make things too loud with this motor. The stock S-Type 3.0 (Ford Duratek short block with Jag heads) already comes with a formidable dual exhaust. Remember... it had the highest HP (235) in its class back then. For exhaust, I'd advize a 2" Magnaflow x-pipe, delete stock center resonator, replace stock rear boxes with a pair of Borlas. Drop in a flat panel K&N air filter and remove actuated air intake baffle (if supplied) from bottom portion of stock air box. You'll def. get a more aggressive yet tolerable exhaust note, and 10 hp/trq. gain.
