Default Alarm for Hood Ornament?

Does anyone know how to create an alarm for the hood ornament? I think that it should be possible to make the horn sound when the hood ornament moves. I saw that Cadillacs have kits for sale that will do this, but will the kits work on Jaguars?

I searched through the forums and did not see anything that specifically said how to wire the hood ornament to the horn. Could you please post a linkto the post(s) that show how to wire the alarm or where to buy one?

Some of the posts said that you could buy an alarm for the whole car and wire the hood ornament to that. I do not want to buy a $300+ alarm when I only need the extra protection on the leaper. The Cadillac hood alarms are $10-$30 on Ebay.

I decided to point a motion-sensing video camera on my car. It records to a DVR. At least now I can feel safe when my car is parked at home.

How much do one of those cost...I never heard of anyone doing that.

Is it jsut like a video camera you put on your dash and point at the ornament. And how doers the motion sensor work.

Did you buy that at liek a security store?

I personalyl would worry about someone breaking into my car just to steal the security device.

The camera I have is mounted to the side of my house. It is not in the car. There are a lot of different types of cameras that start at around $60. The more you pay the more options and better resolution you normally will get. Options like wireless, motion sensing, multiple cameras, low-light, or night vision are all available. Ipurchased itonline. The DVR I am using is just a DVD recorder with a built in hard drive. It can record 120 hours on the hard drive and costs $100-150.
