The doors will lock and unlock just fine and the alarm is loud as it can be, but there is no chirp when you lock or unlock the car, the lights blink but no chirp. does any one have any ideas ?? and the secondary air injection as well as low voltage issues have been fixed. and i had to replace the battery to stop all the crazy warning lights etc. car is a joy to drive now.. thank you ALL for your help.. i could not have fixed or figured out where tho look with out your help.. Thank you so much!! i hope you can help me with this issue as well.

 

I've owned two of these cars and neither one has ever chirped. The only audible alert is when you've left a door or something open.

 

There is a program setting using SDD to set the audible chirp upon locking.

 

I wouldn't want a chirp. The lock are loud enough that I can hear them lock and unlock from 30 feet away.

 

what is a SDD?? is that something the dealer has to do??
