Default ardesign intake

I haven't posted any pictures or specs yet, and I don't want to fill up qwiketz thread with this, so here it is. I finally got my intake after 3 months of promises and failure to deliver on the developer's end, but it was worth it in the end for my one-off custom intake. They used 3.5" tubing and ceramic coated it, as well as shaped the supercharger end to make it oval for better fitment.

For the PCV hose, it has a 2-piece fitting welded on with a barbed ending. I replaced the plastic line with fuel line and clamped it, and reused the old ending out of the PCV valve.

A couple things I ran into during installation were coolant hose clearances. As mentioned in the qwiketz thread, the OEM intake has grooves in it to help clearance. The oval end helps a lot, but it still rests against the hose.

One thing I would recommend is to make sure the clamp on the smaller hose beneath the larger one which the intake rests on is facing down, as to help avoid pressure and possible slicing of the hose.

I also had to make sure the clamps on the supercharger end were rotated so they weren't digging into the under hood cover, which they were when I first shut it.

No dyno graphs yet, but hopefully soon!

Looks great! No reason why they can't make a bunch more for more enthusiasts enjoy. How much did it set you back?

Let me tell you all a little story about how this came about...I went to them in March, they made up the tube right there, and all that was left was to weld the PCV elbow on and have it ceramic coated when I left that day. They told me it would be a week. After a week, I went back and it wasn't done. Then they stopped answering my phone calls, wouldn't return text messages, private messages on another forum, avoided me, etc. I got a hold of them again finally in May, and they told me it would be "next week" again. Then the cycle of avoidance repeated itself for another month or so. I kept getting the same response of being backed up on other projects and the like, even though there was almost nothing left to be done on my intake. After another month I finally made a public post on another forum and got a response (apparently I'm not the only one with this type of experience with them) and my intake was finally finished a couple weeks later. At least at the end they did the right thing customer service wise and didn't charge me even after I offered to pay. Its a high quality piece and most of their work is of the highest quality (which is why I wanted them to do it at the beginning). At the beginning I offered to help them do a group buy on them since I knew quite a few people were interested and they seemed interested in it as well, but now I wouldn't reference anyone to them based on how long it took for them to do the work for me.
