The appropriate power steering fluid is Dexron III, about four bucks a quart at any auto parts store. Knowing how expensive it can be to replace faulty power steering components, I wouldn't risk pouring the Pentosin stuff in there. Isn't that hydraulic fluid?

i used the atf as recommended in a volvo c70 i had once and it bubbled up badly causing the pump to groan.. i then switched to the pentosin and the system was butter smooth, same with my old 89 saab 900. as far as being hydraulic fluid , i follow the logic that the power steering sysem is in essence a hydraulic system, so it should be ok. i know its quality stuff , so i hate to let it go to waste. i do however, see that people have been using mobil 1 atf whiich is good stuff as well.
