Default Automatic Headights stay on during day

Thought I had the auto-on headlight staying on issue licked by moving radar detector. This apparently was a short fix cause the headlights are on again, not shutting off during bright day light. I cleaned the photocell in the mirror to no avail. Is the photocell shot or is this a relay issue? Any suggestions apprecited.

Seeing as I already have the prize I'll try again. AFAIK the sensor is not in the back of the mirror but in the bubble in the middle of the dash is anything restricting that?
If not I fear you need to dig deeper.

Hi Norrie, I have the radar detector above the bubble in middle of dash. I thought this bubble houses the red light that blinks indicating alarm is ARMED? Brutal wrote that auto headlight photo cell is in front of mirror. I cleaned this but to no avail. I'll remove radar detector from windshield above bubble and see what gives? Thanks again.

Nope, the radar detector is way aft and well out of the way of on dash sensor. Somethings up?

Sorry it didn't work, maybe a sensor fault?

My understanding was that only the rain sensor is behind the mirror, I'm certain the light sensor is in the dash as I have had a similar problem when my wife put something on the dash and obscured it.
