Hi, I am having problems with my S type ( the passenger door window opens if I turn the lights off), I have been told that I need a battery reset and then to reset the windows. I don't seem to be able to find the procedure to carry out a battery reset, can anyone help me please?

 

It's not likely to have the desired effect, but what is meant is to reset the car by disconnecting the battery. Some what like rebooting a computer.

Take the negative cable off the battery for a few minutes then reconnect. Most likely the radio, seat and all windows will need to be reprogrammed.

 

Oh, not much point doing it if it is not likely to work then any suggestions what the problem might be?

 

Chafed/loose wire somewhere. Go checking, armed with the free download workshop manual.
