Default Beeping sound, Help!

Does anyone know how I can turn that annoying seatbelt beeping sound off. Every 2 minutes it beeps four times and its really getting annoying. I read in the manual that you have to put the seatbelt in 8 times within 60 seconds to turn it off, but It never worked for me and I tryed over 5 times. Does anyone know of another way?

The disabling of safety related items is the one thing I will not tell people how to do here.

Sorry but the liability is just not worth it.

Best way to get the chime off is to wear your seat belt as was already mentioned. They do indeed save lives.

Nope I don't wear it, it just doesnt feel right. I usually just blast my music to cover up the beeping sound but once in a while it would be nice just to turn the music down a little and not hear that beeping sound.

As I said, I can, but wont. No offence. Just the liability. Hope you understand.

honestly tell me who the **** are you to tell me to wear my seat belt? apparently iam not going to wear it and hopefully if i hit someone i hope its a ******** like you who trys to tell me what the **** to do, then ill get out the car and beat the **** out of him.

I tryed to be nice and ask a ****ing simple question and then your gonna come along and tell me what to do in my OWN ****ing car that i payed for, and that i will suffer the consiquenes for, so if you dont have the answer to my question dont reply with your bullshit. These forums are ment for help and I just asked who can tell me how to turn this off, not who can tell me when and why i should wear my ****ing seat belt. You actually think by telling me to put my seat belt I will do it

C'mon sultan, after a couple polite denials from a jag tech, you really think anyone else is going to actually help you turn it off. I have an idea, cut some wires under your seat until it stops. At least that way, if you wrech and die, when the scene investigators find your seatbelt disengaged by a user method, rather than by a qualified service tech, nobody can be drawn into that lawsuit by your family, because you won't be around any longer.

I would've given up about post #4.

On a positive note, you can sell your S and get an 03' XK, apparently it doesn't beep when the belt isn't connected.
